Inauguration

The inaugural IDEiA – QUANT TANK meeting brought together the initiators and supporters of the idea of establishing an analytical think tank. The name “quant tank” highlights the need to support public debate with in-depth, methodical and reliable quantitative analysis and modelling. Businesses have expressed a similar need to assess their market position, plan growth and make strategic decisions.

The initiative attracted interest not only from researchers, but also from people active in civic life and those who have been successful in business for many years. They see it as an opportunity to pursue additional avenues of activity and broaden their skill sets.

The meeting identified public expert debates on socially and economically important topics as one of the key forms of external engagement.
